Confair Design is a design and research practice based in Philadelphia, PA.  Established by Ed Confair, a design professional, and Amy Confair, a public health professional, the goal of the partnership is to integrate the traditional fields of design and public health to create places and ideas that support healthy lifestyles. The firm uses the tools of landscape architecture, urban design, and civil engineering to organize and structure project sites in a sustainable way.  Simultaneously, the practice utilizes evidence-based public health strategies with a multilevel approach to enrich and inform design decisions.  The combination of professional skill sets offered by the two fields constantly injects fresh perspectives into work that seeks to effect innovative change in the design of public space.
